New Natural Gas Service Request for Both Residential and Commercial

If gas service is not currently on your property, we recommend that you call Customer Service at 607-936-3755, or email custsvc@corninggas.com in order for us to determine if natural gas service is available at the address in question.

If service is available, the first 100 feet of main and the first 100 feet of service line are free. We will advise you of any additional charges that may apply before proceeding with any work and identify any installation deposit that may be required. Do not purchase gas equipment or appliances until we have confirmed that gas service is available.

If we confirm gas service is available, and you agree to our estimate of charges (if applicable), these will appear on your monthly bill as a surcharge for a set number of years until paid. You may also choose to pay these charges up front. Please fill out the application below and return it via email, USPS mail to PO Box 58, Corning, NY 14830, or stop by our office with the application and a copy of your driver's license number, or two other forms of identification.

Application for Residential or Commercial Brand-New Gas Service

A company employee will then visit the property to determine the meter location, usually on the exterior of the home, and any possible permits we may need. Please be advised that many other factors come into play with the timing of a new service line such as weather (frozen ground, flooding, other acts of God), contractor availability (yours and ours if we use one), permitting delays, etc.

As work proceeds, Corning Natural Gas usually lays a service line in conjunction with your HVAC contractor or plumber's interior work. When at least one gas appliance is properly installed, call our office to arrange for the exterior gas meter to be added and service turned on.

Congratulations, you can now start enjoying the benefits of using American natural gas!
