CUSTOMER SERVICE UPDATE
As the Coronavirus situation continues to change Corning Natural Gas Corporation will be taking the following steps to protect customers and employees.
The Corning Natural Gas walk-in office will be closed as of Wednesday, March 18, 2020. Customers may contact our Customer Service Department at 607-936-3755 or 800-834-2134 to make payments or for billing questions and assistance. Additionally we provide the following payment methods:
Mail payments to CNGC, PO Box 58, Corning, NY 14830;
Electronic fund transfer from a checking or savings account;
Your banking electronic payment system;
Using our third-party vendor, Paymentus. This may be found on the Corning website: corninggas.com, or by calling 844-303-7736;
Corning Natural Gas drop box located at our service center.
In addition, Corning will take the following actions during this situation:
Corning Natural Gas has suspended late payment charges;
Suspended all inside meter reading and will instead utilize estimated usage or customer submitted meter readings. Meter reads may be entered on the Corning website. Our website provides detailed instructions on how to read your meter.
During these uncertain times, Corning Natural Gas Corporation would like to reaffirm that our customers’ and employees’ health and well-being are our top priority. We understand that customers may be facing concerns and hardships due to steps being taken to limit the spread of COVID-19. We are sympathetic and ready to assist anyone who may be experiencing financial hardships at this time. We also encourage people to apply for HEAP (a government funded, low-income heating assistance program).
For our employees, we have implemented preventative actions to prevent the spread of the virus by restricting travel unless critical to maintaining operations, allowing work from home, establishing social distancing protocols, and minimizing the size of field personnel crews.

In lieu of the recent coronavirus measures being implemented throughout New York, Corning Natural Gas would ask that you refrain from coming into our office to make payments, or for other matters. We have a drop box for your convenience in our parking lot near our customer service entrance that is routinely monitored, as well as on online payment option here: https://ipn2.paymentus.com/cp/cngc. You may also mail your payments to CNGC, 330 W. William St, Corning, NY 14830.
